Inventories of data present on an enterprise system can often be seen as a security risk. Since they detail assets, locations, and the like, we want to ensure that only those intended to interact with these records have access.
One method of securing inventory is by way of the platform used to host the Marco Database, choosing a SQL Server or Oracle connection over SQLite. Another is to employ the Administrative Portal. With this feature, an assigned user will be the only one responsible for connecting Marco Mystic to the underlying Marco Database instance as well as run any and all Marco Commander tools within the framework itself. Users who are not logged in as an admin can merely search - which is beneficial in its own right.
MYSTIC IN COMMAND
We believe that the search and analysis capabilities of Marco Mystic should never have to shine alone. That is why we have incorporated the Marco Commander framework within Marco Mystic's Administrative Portal. This allows Managers, Team Leads, and others in administrative roles to securely perform Spatial Data Discovery processes without ever leaving this new interface.
